Introducing the all-new GEN5X2, an upgrade from our previous GENM2 model. This state-of-the-art onboard marine battery charger is 27% smaller and delivers 43% more power, making it one of the best-performing chargers we have ever developed. The GEN5X2 is a two-bank onboard battery charger rated at 10 amps (5 amps per bank) for 12-volt batteries, including marine, boat, starter, and deep-cycle batteries.
The GEN5X2 allows for independent charging and control of each battery bank with selectable charging modes. These modes include 12V, 12V AGM, 12V Lithium, and 12V Repair Mode, accommodating all types of lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries. An integrated thermal sensor detects ambient temperature and adjusts the charge accordingly, preventing over-charging in hot climates and under-charging in cold climates.
This charger can handle batteries with voltages as low as 1 volt and features a new Force Mode, which enables users to manually initiate charging of completely dead batteries down to zero volts. It also automatically detects battery sulfation and acid stratification, restoring lost performance for stronger engine starts and extended battery life.
More than just a trickle charger, the GEN5X2 is an advanced battery maintainer. It provides fully automatic, worry-free charging around the clock, with no risk of overcharging. The simplified mounting system allows for quick and easy installation in any direction, even upside-down, and includes an integrated anti-vibration backing to reduce shock, vibration, and noise.
The GEN5X2 is fully sealed and waterproof, with an ingress protection rating of IP68. It has undergone rigorous life cycle testing, including thousands of hours underwater, ensuring its durability and reliability in the harshest conditions.
